The Goldendoodle in my opinion is as close to the most perfect dog as you can get! They are a cross between the two smartest dogs in the world – the beautiful, loyal, family loving Golden Retriever and the highly intelligent silly, outdoor loving poodle. Goldendoodles are low-to-non shedding making them the ideal choice for those with allergies. Grooming is at a low to medium level.
Because of their highly intelligent purebred parents, the Goldendoodle is very easy to train. They are always trying to please and thrive when around their family. The Goldendoodle is not only the perfect family pet but also excels at search and rescue, hunting, retrieving, and as therapy dogs. The Goldendoodle loves the outdoors and the water. They are intrepid, hardy dogs that love any outdoor activity yet placid enough to lie lazily indoors and calm enough to be around any type of family.
The Goldendoodle in theory is healthier than their purebred parents and have a life span of 12-16 years. The adult standard Goldendoodles average a weight of 70-90 pounds. Goldendoodles can come in a variety of colors and I personally think the more unique the color, the more beautiful they are. The most common color is the golden, but they may come in brown, apricot, black, black and white, brown and white, apricot and white and on some occasions may also be a tri color(mixture of any three colors). It is rare to see a Goldendoodle with a straight coat, but that is possible. Their coat can vary from straight, to wavy, to very curly. A general rule is, the curlier the coat the less it sheds!
Your puppy will be ready for their new home at 8 weeks and will come with a Purina Dog Chow kit, a sample of Purina Puppy Chow, vet health inspection form, shot/worming record, treats, biscuits, toys, and a blanket with moms scent lovingly attached.
